Volume slider on lock screen gone again in iOS 16.1?

Did they delete the volume slider on lock screen again in iOS 16.1? It's gone on my iPhone 14 Pro with iOS 16.1.

What do you mean "again"? It didn't show for me in 16.0 either.

Actually, it depends. If I'm playing music on the phone itself, it doesn't show; but if I'm playing music on my HomePod mini, then it shows.

If I remember right, it was missing for me too in 16.0. Then it returned in 16.0.1, and gone again in 16.0.2.

Very frustrating.
