Hi all,

When mountain lion came out I upgraded from lion, I think (it may have been the one before, I can't remember). Ever since Logic Pro 8 doesn't work because its not compatible so I've finally got around to re installing.

I followed some instructions on the Apple website, which told me to use the disk utility on my cd to erase the HD and then to re install. After erasing the HD on the select destination page of the install I get an error on the volume that I'm supposed to be installing into saying ''you cannot install Mac OS X on this volume. An error was encountered while running the the volumecheck tool for Mac OS X''.

Can anyone help, the HD is in the GUID partition table format, if that helps!

Please help because obviously I know have no computer cause it all got erased.

It sounds like there is a problem with your hard drive. You have erased it?

Disk Utility on your CD? What OS are you installing?

I presume you have everything backed up before you erased it?

FWIW, Logic 8 runs fine on my ML computers.
