The topic pretty much indicates the situation I'm in. I have a slightly creaky graphite that I'm trying to get some extra games performance out of.

The Radeon Sapphire 7000 I purchased didn't do the job for whatever reason, so I also managed to locate a Voodoo 5 5500 PCI ...

but....

The Voodoo is a PC card, I have seen reports of successfully reflashing for Mac usage, but finding the software and ROM images to do so is proving somewhat difficult.

In effect this is a twofold question -

1) Can I render the Radeon 7000 into something reasonably fast, if so how. At this moment it barely performs better than the Rage 128 that was in the machine.

2) How do you perform a successful conversion of the PC Voodoo 5 into a functional shiny Mac variant ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just so you know, 3DFX cards are not supported under OS X, only under OS9. Chances are you will not be able to get any output from the card under X, and certainly no Quartz Extreme.

Yes, I know that. But I am not running OS X.

I have a G4/400 "Yikes", with 1x256MB and 3x128MB, running OS 9.2.2.
