VPN and Parallels

Hello,

Not sure if anyone can help or possibly guide me in this situation. I have a 2013 Mac Air running parallels. I've installed my VPN software since you can only run it in a windows environment. It doesn't seem to be working. I even reinstalled several times. It doesn't seem to load the hostchecker and java apps. Any ideas?

You installed a VPN client within Windows running in an Parallels VM?

Just note that this is only going to tunnel the data coming from within the Parallels VM, and not your OS X parent OS.

As far as it not connecting, it should. The only thing I would check for is firewalls blocking the outbound ports to the VPN server, either at the guest level or the parent level (or at the network device level).
