iPod touch VPN disconnect when the iDevice is locked

From my iTouch, I am connecting to my company VPN through PPTP mode, and the VPN disconnects after a while when iTouch is auto locked or manually locked.

Is there a way to avoid this? We cant say the VPN is *disconnected* actually, since when i unlocked the iTouch and checked the settings, it shows the VPN is OFF.

I think it's due to power saving that iDevices do, they seem to drop network connections when they aren't in use/locked. VPN's don't like that and will require you to reconnect. That "security" thing.


There might be a fix, but chances are you're going to need to jailbreak.
