Those of us who travel abroad often know that sometimes one must use VPN connections to use some of the services from the US (Google, Facebook, Hulu, etc).

Although this is kind of a niche case, I was wondering what would happen if you tried to share the cellular connection with the iPhone that was connected to the network using VPN?
Would the Apple Watch be able to use internet over the VPN connection as well?

I'm guessing yes. There is no separate VPN setting on the watch, so if anything it'll be passed on by the iPhone. Enterprises will want this feature when people start requesting Apple Watches for work.

The connection is through the phone. So if you are connected through VPN on the phone, you're fine.
