Hi all,

I use a survey software on my iPhone called SavvyConnect that uses VPN as a marketing tool for my browsing habits in exchange for cash. Since the upgrade to 7.1.2, I can't connect with VPN anymore. I'm convinced it's an iOS error with 7.1.2, because my iPad still works (7.1.1) and my home computer also still works fine.

Sounds like a glitch in the 7.1.2 rollout? The other software hasn't changed (and I'm running the latest version)

Has anyone had any success running VPN on their 7.1.2 iPad or iPhone?

Thanks for checking.

(Side note: If you want to know more about SavvyConnect, send me a private message as I can get a referral bonus. Thanks.)

Definitely isolated issue you have here. VPN working fine for me on 7.1.2

It's IPSec if that makes a difference. Is there any tool out there that will show me like a trace route as to where my packets are stopping?

Has anyone had any luck? Is there a way to roll back to the previous operating system?

The last I heard (a few weeks ago) Apple was still signing 7.1.1. Unless you can find more recent information to the contrary, you can grab 7.1.1 and give it a try. Of course at some point they'll stop if they haven't already.

I wasn't able to roll back with my 5S. I've heard that I will be able to roll back with my iPad because it's one of the older A4 chips. Will try that when I get home later today.

It was working again following an update.

I also received an e-mail with the pending update to iOS 8 -

Uninstall your VPN and any associated apps FIRST before updating, and then reinstall afterwards.

Fingers crossed.
