VPN software that runs on Mac/Windows?

Hey all, is there any Mac/PC compatible free source VPN software out there? I need to connect to a Windows tower with files on it remotely from my office.

Just wondering if anyone has found any great solutions out there.

The server software compiles on just about any Unix or Unix clone.

There is a VPN client for just about anything. Even Apple IOS. It's there for free in the app store.
