I am setting up a Mac Pro at home right now...

Previously, I was using a windows machine to VPN into work, and then used Dameware to make a remote connection to my work desktop.

I'd like to do similar with the Mac... I'll be connecting remotely to a windows machine now... maybe an apple machine in the future... and I have to be able to remote in over a VPN connection.

(Apple Remote Desktop - the app - seems a little excessive for my needs... I'll buy it if I have to, but hoping for a cheaper solution if possible).

Thanks!

There's a Cisco VPN client for mac - I use it for VPN'ing to my work network from home. I don't know where you could download it though, my company offers a download to both Windows and OS X VPN clients from an internal site.
