Hey there - I'm upgrading my office setup, and I wand to get dual 27" monitors, one in portrait mode. Out of curiosity, if I get a Thunderbolt 4 dock and displayport adapters, can I run dual monitors with VRR / adaptive sync? Or is this feature only limited to one monitor at a time? I have searched for this a bunch, but I haven't seen much (anything). Thanks!

I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't work. You'll need for each display to connect at HBR2 link rate. If one connects at HBR3 then the other will be limited to HBR - in that case you would have to do some display shuffling to get both to do HBR2. Hopefully, they will be evenly set to HBR2 at boot time.

HBR2 is likely if you're doing 1440p VRR displays. Less likely with 4K VRR displays (if they do more than 60Hz) unless they use DSC.

Does VRR work in portrait mode?

Is VRR useful for an office setup?

What Mac/GPU are you using?
