VT G5 prices to VT students?

Hi all, new to the board. If this has been talked about already, I apologize. Anyway, I know some of the G5's have surfaced on MacMall. However, VT students were supposed to be offered some of these computers at super low rates. Does anyone know what the students are getting them for? I have a friend that goes there that has no idea but would be willing to pick one up for me if I wire her the cash...if the price is any better than $2200. Thanks for any feedback!

I do not think this is happening. I have not heard anything about it on campus. If you really want to know what is going on with them you could always call the Univeristy Bookstore (check www.vt.edu for the number) and ask them. The University Bookstore has the Apple store for VT.
