I saw it on my ps3 when i was about to queue up call of duty black ops. I rented "RED" looks great in HD.. is anybody else going to use it and what are your thoughts on it ?
I was quite impressed. I think it can serve as a supplement to Netflix streaming-that is Vudu seems to have a lot more "current" films for streaming-something Netflix does not have (yet). I wish there was a method to transfer the purchases to an iPod, but that's likely a pipe dream.
The quality is excellent-especially if you get the HDX.
I tried a free movie and thought the quality was good. However, I wish it was less expensive. As it is, I would rather wait on the bluray from Netflix and stream their older programs (or watch something on the PVR) while I wait. It is more economical and bluray is better than HDX. I could see us using it when we had people over ( easier to find a movie no one has seen) but that's about it...unless they lower their prices.
I love VUDU... A very nice movie program! One thing people may not realize is that Netflix and Redbox have to wait like a month after movies are released before they can ship the dvd/bluray. I know on some movies that is the case, maybe not all. VUDU on the other hand, get's the movie on release day. So that's one reason it's useful.
