So I have a 3GS. 3.1.2 with the newest boot loader. When I restored it from my 3G's profile, the previous BenM hack ruined my VVM. I am also jail broken on my 3GS with no firmware stored (so I don't want to restore if I don't have too).

I have reset the network settings which did not fix the issue. I get to the screen where I enter my password 2 times, create my greeting, and then it says saving password and just times out and the phone application closes.

Any help?

One last bump. is my only option to restore the phone? I don't have any Voicemail access right now and it's kind of a pain. Would be a huge pain to have to lose my ability to multi-task.

As labman said, what is your baseband. You can uninstall the BenM tethering hack and install the peaceful sanity hack which does not affect VVM.
