Sorry if this is answered somewhere, but could not find it.

If I buy a iPhone 5 by adding a new line that will become a basic line for my son will I be able to move it to my unlimited line same day or do I need to wait for a period to move it?

Yes you can. Be sure to ask for a new SIM tho, since the one in the phone will be burned to the new line for 24hrs.

That's what happened to me. I have a dummy line and can upgrade yearly...but with the new SIM cards you can only activate a line to it every 24hrs. But If you buy it from the Apple store, they have tons of them in the back and are happy to assist you.

What about from Verizon store? I would get in store and swap devices online when i get home. My local store has some stock 5's. Will they give me an extra/new sim?

The answer is yes you can add a line then switch the iphone 5 to your main line and keep unlimited data. That's exactly what I did, and now my little brother has my old iphone 4
