I tried looking this up, but I couldn't find the answer I'm looking for:

For the pre-order on the 3rd will customers be able to order through the Verizon site and the Apple Store or just the Verizon site?

Sorry if this has been previously answered, I really tried looking for it.

That's a good question. I assume that you can order from Apple on that day to. Some of the things that are out there now say that you have to have a MyVerizon account to be able to pre-order. If that is the case then it owuld be just through Verizon's website. I also don't see Apple not getting in on the initial sale of their phone.
 
Well my friend called our local Apple Store and they said for the 3rd only the Verizon Store will be available for pre-ordering.

Thanks for everyone's input, but I guess the Apple Store won't be up with the East Coast at 3am :p

Sorry for the late response. The Verizon customer pre-order will start at 3am ET, and online only. I don't know when stores will start selling them - probably the same time as pre-order pickups.
 
From the Apple online store supervisor and 3 local retail store Managers I spoke to last week, you can pre-order from Apple on 02/03. And if you read Apple's ViPhone page, it does say eligible Verizon customers can pre-order on the 3rd. Whether that be at 3AM or 3PM I do not know. Wasn't it an option to pre-order for AT&T as well? I believe it was according to my AT&T friends at the time.

Of course if you ask ANYONE at Verizon they will deny this because they want to get that extra $50 from as many full retail customers as possible.
