Carrier VZW: Original Unlimited Plan VS. New Unlimited Plans

I still have an original grandfathered unlimited data with VZW and like the idea of it, though I do not use more than 2GB of data on average. When I had an Android I use to tether my laptop and it was way more useful to have the unlimited plan. As far as I know, there is no way to tether with my grandfathered unlimited plan.

I plan to get the new Max and an thinking ahead in case VZW offers any specials with their new unlimited plans. What are your thoughts on my grandfathered unlimited plan VS. the new unlimited data plans?
