I've been waiting for ages for this, and I think it's very exciting. Animation doesn't seem to be supported all that well, but most everything else is. I've seen this in WebKit, and I'm glad it's in the beta.

SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) is a phenomenal standards-based way to get vector graphics to appear on a website - it's just another XML derivative, so it's all text, and, in the future, many sites might not need to download separate graphics - the page source text alone will be sufficient to describe most of the artwork.

Very cool.

Here's an example site.
