Just purchased Beats X. I can't seem to switch between the Earbuds and my iMac. iPad, iPhone 8?
EX: I'm listening to my iPhone 8 with the Beats. Regardless wether my iMac (June 17) has blue tooth on or off music will stop on my phone when I try to play music from the iMac? A dialog box appears saying I'm listing on another device. Click ok to continue. When I click ok nothing happens?

What am I missing in switching from one device to another, and is this possibly related to iCloud?

TY :apple:

That error message has nothing to do with the W1 or the Beats X. Its the Apple Music message. You can only play from 1 device at a time per iCloud account with Apple Music.

on the mac, you need to click on the volume icon in the menu bar, and select your headphones there
they will disconnect form your phone, and connect to your mac.
*you can also select them from the airplay menu by the volume control in itunes

they stay "connected" to the last device you used, even it's not around.
so if you played on your mac, you need to re-select them on your phone when you want to use that.

it's best to do this before you start playing music on your phone.
otherwise music will play very loudly out of the phone speakers, in a quiet place.
(not that i know this from experience  )
