i have a PowerPC g4 powerbook.
recently the CD/DVD drive is acting wacky as hell.
1. Audio CDs dont come up on my desktop by title. They read "Audio CD". Then, in iTunes, no matter what CD is in the drive, it has the same # of tracks, all titled "Track 1, Track 2,etc..." and they have the exact same song lengths.
2. If i go to play a game that requires a CD for start, the cd reads as a blank cd.
3. If I insert a cd with data, (photos, fonts, designwork, etc...) the computer says the disk is unreadable.
not sure what to do. if i have to take this to a MAC store for repair, and I going to get raped for cash? I bought this second hand so i'm not gonna get a hook-up or anything. Are there any good 3rd party MAC repair people that are reliable?
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
Matt
