I have two MacBooks, a 2020 M1 Air and a 2025 M5 Pro (lucky me!)
Both are sharing
an external keyboard
an apple trackpad
a trackball mouse
both are sharing via a KVM switch—I can't remember the exact model, it's AIMOS (brand name) if that means anything.
the problem:
some random keyboard issue, where it seems like someone is holding down a key, could be a return or a letter or anything, it just acts like the key is being held down ... and there's no way to stop it.
the only workaround is that I go to the KVM switch, and switch the keyboard etc input to the other computer. that's the only way to stop it.
has anybody experienced anything like this?
any suggestions?
I believe my keyboard KVM switcher was one of the less expensive models—if I were to purchase a more upscale model, would that solve the problem?
grateful for any feedback.
thanks and happy new year!
