I just got a wacom intuos3 9 x 12, & installed the drivers from the Cd, I then also went to wacom's website & downloaded & installed the latest drivers.
All was ok. Then I ran a permissions repair, as I read it is good to do after installing new software.
I also ran software update, & downloaded & installed the latest security update, itunes, & safari.
I then rebooted to install updates, & opened photoshop cs5, to try my tablet out in it.
I tried a brush in photoshop & it kept going to color replacement tool & I could not adjust brush point sizes.
I went to system preferences to see what was happening, & the wacom tablet under other & it was gone.
so I re downloaded the latest driver from wacom & reinstalled the drivers. Went back to system preferences & the wacom tablet icon under other was back.
any ideas what happened? am I going to have to reinstall drivers every time & I do a repair permissions?
I am on a macbook pro mid 2010, 4gb ram i7, running snowleopard 10.6.8.
