Wacom Special Edition Tablet Question

I've been looking to purchase one of these tablets and I came across this

Awesome tablet. But the "Special Edition" only has an extra pen (which you won't use over the grip pen) and a transparent overlay (which you don't need if you have photoshop and can just take a picture of the thing you want to trace and make it the bottom layer). To use the transparent overlay properly, you have to remove the existing overlay plastic, which could render the glue on it not sticky and therefore wasting that overlay.

Can anyone confirm this?
