My friend has a Wacom Intuos, model number GD-0405-A. He recently found it in his closet, and he wants to use it on his iMac G4. However, when attempting to use the tablet, after installing what he thinks is the correct driver (it said so on the site), it wasn't working. The connection was an ADB so he used the adapter from iMate to connect it to his USB port. Any help? Suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Hi! No one reads the title, so um... PEARS! .. and.. Pie?

Hey, I'm the friend. The problem is already in the above post, so I really have no reason to reply. I'm just um.. replying. I already have the Graphire ET-0405-U, but the one I found in the closet is better. It has all these cool little buttons on it. :)

So, any help? Thanks! In advance!

The Driver was made to connect the tablet in Mac OSX.
Then it won't work as your tablet has an ADB connector.
Most users that use ADB or serial tablets on a newer Macs do so through some sort of USB adapter. Wacom finds that these adapters pose many problems even under OS 9, and Wacom will not support these devices running under OS X due to new and existing compatibility constraints.

That must be some closet! Why don't you take another look? Maybe you can find something really valuable.

Actually, the closet has a whole peripheral box, a printer, a box full of cables, some CD's, and some other stuff.

And, thanks for your help. I guess I'll just stick with the tablet I already have. :)
