wacom tablets, drivers always buggy

I'm using wacom tablet since a pretty long time, i'm not a designer so i get the basic / entry
my latest is an intuos pen & touch, just upgraded driver from wacom center and did download from .com website and now i can't make a multiple selection of files, column, etc

if i old shift it just select actual element, i often have issue with the focused app, last year a bug crashed keychain each time it asked for admin password, the did fixed after several months

i thought wacom was the leader in tablets but driver are a mess

is that true with higher end product? do they release good driver even after some years?
any better alternatives?

I've been having issues with my Wacom since macOS Sierra was released. I've found that using the Shift key in the Wacom works much better than using the one on the keyboard.

I keep hoping that a driver update will put it all right, but as of yet it hasn't happened.
