iPad Pro Wait for M5 iPad Pro or go with M4?

I own a mbp m1pro 16” and iPhone 16p. I feel the need for an in between device and tandem oled is really tempting. The only thing I am concerned about is the 8gb ram. Would that become a bottleneck down the line after 3-4 years?

I have my eye on 11” M4 iPP but my only concern is ram as I would be going for the base version.. What do you guys suggest? Should I wait or pull the trigger on the m4 version?

I would wait. People tend to underestimate the importance of RAM.

I got a m4 pro 13vin my country 500 off its retail price. If you can get a good deal like that, I’d take advantage of it.

I saved $300 on a M4 13” picked it up with a refurb Magic Keyboard for $269, for me the discount was better than the marginal update of the M5, but your mileage will vary

No harm in waiting. They bumped up the base RAM in MBAs to 16GB so maybe an M5 iPad Pro update will be when they do the same for it.

And if they don’t then you can just decide whether you care about what they added to the M5 iPP and purchase accordingly.
