wait for new mbp?

Hi at all, probably this is an useless thread but I would ask you if the rumors of a new mbp on christmas is a possible rumors or it is very difficult. I would buy my first macbook but seeing this rumor I have some fear to buy the mbp. I do not want to buy a PC and after 2 months have an old pc.

Can you give me some advice?

New Intel processors won't be hitting the market until early 2012, so no new updates likely before then.
