Wait for USB 3.0 | LightPeak in Jan '11?

If I wait till January for "Sandy Bridge" , what's the outlook that the 15 inch model will gain either of those new features?

I'm in my undergrad @ University and waiting for a laptop for second semester might not be ideal but if it comes with that feature, I'll will ride it out; granted if there's solid future tech standard speculation

So I'm guessing that LightPeak/USB 3 is not close to prime time yet on Macs or other PCs. :/

As for Light Peak, there is so much going on that I don't know what to believe anymore.
- New wire?
- Apple "interested" in LightPeak?
Stevey needs to speak a little bit more on this.

And if you are comparing Arrandale and Sandy Bridge. I would say I am a little under educated in this area but an i7 is perfectly fine for me.

I am in the exact same situation as you are, undergrad, looking for a mbp for my next sem.

Still, my 22cent, do you need it badly? If yes, get it now. I am waiting btw, not due to the future tech, but just hoping for a change in graphics card.
