So, does pre-order start for the iPad's in a few hours once the clock strikes 12PST?
 
Dunno if you're joking or not, but thats the same time as 12am PDT/PST?

But yeah, that's the time I will be waiting up til tonight. Weird that they didn't mention it at all today. At least after the investor call or something.

Oh yeah, rep also said the Smart Case and a whole bunch of iPad mini accessories will go on sale tomorrow
 
I visited an Apple Store today and they said they hadn't been informed of an exact time either, but they suspected it would be 12am Pacific but that was totally unofficial and unconfirmed.
 
Wait a minute, I thought Apple said 12:01PST? Now it might be 8AM? This is far too late for them to not have an official release time.
 
I would expect 12 am PST, unless otherwise indicated (which it's not, apparently).
The problem is of course, if they don't make it active at this time, then you've got a problem :D What do you do? go to sleep and then really miss the boat, or stay up all night like a total fool?

I'm going with staying awake but not admitting to it if I'm wrong :D
 
I think they will open at midnight but what time will they sell them if they don't do a midnight launch? Time zone? Its 2 here is they do the midnight so what time if they don't?
 
Pre-orders have almost always been 12AM PST (or PDT when it's Daylight Savings Time). Make sure to convert that time to your local time.
 
No they haven't ALWAYS done preorders. Usually when they do its phones only. And I don't EVER remember them not announcing they were doing one, EVER. So I am starting to think its not happening. No signs that even point to yes.
 
apple store is down, should be a good sign for a 3am EST time launch...i would think...

When does the upload of your new Apple "shrine " video to YouTube begin?

Your shrine just wouldn't be complete without an iPad Mini.
