Wait.....so when DOES the G5 come out?

Does anyone know when it comes out? i first heard august, then september, now maybe mid-august again??:confused: does anyone know if apple has said anything about it?
 
according to the apple store they estimated shipping dates for the computer are 7-10 weeks.
 
I ordered a custom built G5 on June 30th, yesterday my estimated ship date was bumped up to "on or before 8/29/03" prior to that it was 9/2/03. I think that's a positive sign. Only a few days earlier but I'll take that over a delay :)
 
I have a feeling they will push it to the end of august but send otu the machines in august so they can sey they worked within their estimate
 
i have a hunch that some of it might depend on panther. i heard that panther takes advantage of 64 bit CPU's, but thats just a hunch. i wouldnt mind jaguar. also, does it come with a monitor, or do you have to purchase those seperately
 
we usually call them displays too when referring to the apple branded one

You have to buy the displays separately.
