If jobbs said everyone is eligible for new phone within 6 months, why does AT&T say I'm not until january?

Yep. And it’s 2010, not 2011. Why do people whine when AT&T actually does a good thing? Why do 2 year contracts mean nothing? Why are people pissed when AT&T actually reduces a contract to let a lot of people get the iPhone early.

lol. u do know its just to get ppl caught in for 2 extra years.

LOL!!!!1111Oneleven.

Who cares why they did it? They did it. It’s weird how guys on here turn good things to bad on MR.

And there’s no Verizon phone coming any time soon.:)

+1. Guys, you signed a contract. Look at it from this end. Say you own a business and client A signs a contract with you for two years on a rental. Then he starts bi****ng because you won't let him move into a different place before that two years is up without breaching contract or paying a fee.

Would you feel bad for him? Hell no. He signed a contract. What part of contract do you guys not understand? Oh yeah thats right; it's the era of everybody owes me something but I don't owe anyone anything.

I signed a 2 year contract with AT&T when I bought the 3GS so that should be June 2011. AT&T had me listed as Nov 2010 for months. still 6 months early. now I can order it next week. so a 2 year contract is now 1 year. I have 450 minute and unlimited data. how dare AT&T let me get my phone 1 year instead of 2 what a bunch of SOB's!

Depending on certain conditions, and what kind of account you have with AT&T, they will sometimes give you 1.5 years before you can upgrade, so that you upgrade and re-estabish a new contract before you have gone too long contract free. And in your case since that .5 was before the end of 2010, you got an extra 6 months taken from it, slick deal.
