What time should I arrive at Walmart, Thursday morning? I know Higgs1 said they will begin selling iPhone 4 at 8AM, but my local Walmart(s) aren't sure if its 8AM or 9AM. I was thinking about getting there two hours before they sell.

I doubt anyone else besides MR members and guests will see the spreadsheet of iPhones available at Walmart at launch. So, is it good timing at Walmart, or should I get there earlier?

I'm here right now. You're not getting in front of me.

It really depends on what area you live in, if its a bigger city then a few hours couldnt hurt, but if its smaller maybe play it by ear. Ex: My walmart is 24 hours so they are gonna let the lines start at 12 am but we get a lot of people that come in, we had 3 lines for the new moon release at midnight and lines started at 8pm. So it all depends on your location.

Lol, quite funny that most wal marts are getting between 1-6 iPhones - most less than 3!

There's going to be a lot of pissed of people come the 24th, haha

I'm sure you heard this, but just in case, you know they are supposedly not getting any 32GB models, right?

Haha have fun waiting at walmart mine already shipped.

Why is the tax so high on your order

Well, I'm now considering getting there about three to four hours earlier. The need for the White iPhone in my area is getting the best of me.

Say hello to the underpaid and abused workers at Wal-Mart for me.

Of course, nobody cares as long as they get their new shiny iPhone!!!

OFFICIAL WAL-MART LINEUP STRATEGY: If there's a person in front of you, leave. Inventory will be depleted.

If you're going to WalMart you better hurry. The line has already started, you're behind this guy.

^ About what, exactly?

I'm becoming very anxious regarding Thursday morning. I don't want to risk not getting an iPhone on Thursday. I thought about going to RadioShack first to see if they had any iPhones, but now it's sounding like a bad idea.

lol I love that website. The first time I found it I think I spent like 2.5 hours looking at the pics. :\

I actually just came across it tonight. Pretty funny stuff.

Most stores are getting 0-1 phone. Some really busy stores might get up to 5. Just dont see a sense unless you plan on camping out and making sure you are first in line

Well, my Walmart is getting three iPhone 4's and 5 3Gs'. I never got to pre-order, so this is the best option, currently.

Not to change subject; but, well, okay, to change subject:

How is it legal to charge tax on a unsubsidized price? For instance, if you're paying $199l, how the hell is it legal to charge you tax at 6.25% in Massachusetts for a price that you're NOT paying. You're NOT paying the $599, so how can they charge you as if you were? I seriously debate the legality of this and I've contacted several lawmakers already at my city hall. This has to stop.

Sure, it's not a TON of money, but it's an unfair practice to be certain. I just don't see how it makes any sense. It's Apple & AT&T's decision to subsidize the phones, they should eat the sales tax differential, not the customer.
