Waiting for a Pro Stand for the XDR

We ordered an XDR Display and Pro Stand to go with it. The XDR shipped quickly but the stand, originally due Nov 1-3 has now been pushed back to Nov 8-10. Has anyone here recently bought one of these? When did you get it?

I don't know how many people buy the XDR without the stand but I would think that is a well known number by Apple and they would keep the manufacture of the screen and stand closely matched.

I got this notification too.

Ordered - Oct 24
Est - Nov 4-8
Now - Nov 12-16

My XDR Display is on time / delivers this week. I’m in TX
 
Here are some additional data points for others that are waiting.
Ordered display and stand on Oct 26. Display delivered Oct 29. Stand just today preparing to ship. Estimated Nov 5-9.

Has anyone tried to use it without a stand? Kind'a hard to keep the display sitting next to me in the box - LOL.
 
I went to the apple store today to see the stand in person and see if they had stock or return stock (nope). I wasn’t impressed. The foot of the stand is significantly thicker than the iMac and the tilt towards/away had a fair bit of slop. Even if that’s from being on display, for $1000 it should be flawless.

I canceled the stand order.

I’d also ordered the vesa mount JIC which arrived first. I purchased a Herman Miller arm instead. I have an existing arm but it just doesn’t look that great and is fiddly to adjust. So I’m up $500 overall and no waiting extra weeks to use my display.

Which arm did you order? I don't want to have to pull my desk further out from the wall.

I ordered my Display and Stand on the 19th, the Display arrived on the 25th, and the Stand says Nov 8-10 and is still "Processing". I have a Pro Stand on my other XDR and am happy with it. Once it is positioned, I never move it so an arm doesn't seem to have much utility. Even the VESA adapter seems hard to get as it is showing Nov 15-17.

Wondering why my stand ordered on the 19th is still Processing but macinla's stand ordered on the 26th is already in Preparing to Ship. Did you order off the consumer or business store?

I paid $8 for the expedited shipping, not sure that matters in terms of processing time (that my order moved to preparing for shipment).

I also looked at the VESA adapter and an arm (would be nice to free up a little desk space) but the VESA adapter is also a long ways away. Best Buy says 10 days. Apple says about the same lead time as the XDR stand.

@outsidah how stable is your arm? I was concerned the screen would wobble/shake a little if typing real hard on the keyboard - lol. Any pics?
 
It looks like the Pro Stand won't be here until 3-4 weeks after I have received the XDR (which is still in the box unopened). AppleCare on the Display started two weeks ago. What are the chances that Apple will recalculate my AppleCare date to begin when I actually get the stand since I can't use the display without it?
 
I received my Pro Stand 1 day after the XDR Display arrived - as mentioned earlier, I'm in NZ, both shipped directly from China via DHL. Can report it's wonderful and worth the wait.

Well drat. It's now delayed until Nov 16-18. Did you get your stand yet?

No stand yet... It just left Japan and UPS says estimated delivery Friday Nov 5. I also have a MacBook Pro I'm waiting for that's been stuck in Shanghai for 4 days. It apparently just started moving from Shanghai. That laptop was ordered Oct 18... So stuff is just delayed everywhere it seems (except for the XDR display itself that came in like 4 days!)

I got my MacBook Pro yesterday (14", 10cpu/16gpu, 32gb, 2tb). I was also stuck in Shanghai for 4 days, but was quick after that. My Apple Business rep is working on the Stand to see if they can do anything. Hopefully soon. The XDR is a beautiful display. I've had one on my main development machine for a year.

Well, after many months of contemplating, I finally bit the bullet and ordered the XDR display. The stand ETA for me is Nov 16-18 for delivery in Canada. The XDR display arrives just a day before.

You'll love the display. Mine still shows Nov 16-18 too.

Hey there! My arm is VERY stable. I actually have 3 arms on one desk (XDR in the middle). The XDR is on the HX arm and unless I start shaking my desk on purpose it doesn't move.

Thanks for the reply! That's great news. My Pro stand is being delivered today but I might opt for an arm instead as it looks cleaner with no stand under the screen.

Lucky you. Apple told me that business orders are given priority over consumer orders yet my order on the 19th is still "Processing" while yours from the 26th is arriving today. I would have gladly paid $8.... on a $6K order it is insignificant.

Hopefully my Business rep has been able to do something to speed it up. I have another XDR on my main dev machine and like the stand. My desk is against a wall so an arm won't work well in most cases.
 
Just got notification my stand shipped. Should be here by end of week. A week sooner than the original ETA
