"Waiting For Application Services"

I was working in Final Cut Pro, when everything started to fail, because my camcorder came unplugged. My TiBook TOLD me that I had to restart, and when I did, it was stuck at Waiting For Application Services.

Luckily, I was still able to connect it to my PowerMac, as a firewire drive, and get some of my stuff off, but I had to reinstall osx.2, and that was a pain.

Anyone else have this problem? I hear it is a issue in the security update or something. Oh well.

Hopefully it doesn't happen again.

It looks like what you had was a kernel panic, must have corrupted some files during it. What I try first before reinstalling is removing the preferences folders from the OS, that can prevent some thing from starting correctly. If your remove them, it just rewrites them.
