Waiting for iPad 3?

Ok so I am in high school and am thinking I will get an iPad for high school and then a MacBook once I get to college. Since this year is almost over, I was thinking I would wait it out till November September time next year and get an iPad 3. Do you think that's a good idea?

2011 is the year of iPad 2 not iPad 2.5 or iPad 3.

with apple being sold out of every iPad 2 in every apple stores and resellers, apple is surely going to rush and release iPad 3 this fall, right? There is nothing wrong with iPad 2 based on the price you are paying.

Pretty sure he means school years, which take place in Fall/Spring and are off in the summer.

To be honest though I don't know what he's talking about, he might as well get an iPad now and enjoy it, because there isn't going to be another until March/April of next year.

iPad 3 (don't thing rumors are true) will come out this time next year... and you will say the same thing again. If I was in your position, I'd buy iPad 2 now and then you will have it ready for the next school year.

Does this thread really make you feel better for yourself that you don't have iPad 2 right now?

iPad 2 starts at only 499 dollars and you can sell it off around 400-420 dollars as long as you sell it before iPad 3 comes out. That's about 100 dollars difference. And that's about 8 dollars a month. Is your entertainment not worth 8 dollars a month?

Really... people are trying to make themselves better that they don't have iPAD 2 by making this kind of thread, but it ain't going to work. No one really cares if you have it or not... because iPad 2 is sold out everywhere and it's on back order for 4 to 5 weeks and I expect to go even higher.

In fact I'm typing on it now (yes I have a life). And at least and I'm assuming here your school let's u you use them to work in class etc. My school does not.

On the contrary, the thread seemed legitimate as do others that speak of not getting the iPad 2 and their reasons. I did not get the iPad 2. I have my reasons.

It is not that others are saying their reasons to "feel better"...it is that you are immature and overly defensive about any criticism whatsoever with the product you have
