Anyone else interested in buying an iPad Pro now waiting to what the new Skylake laptops are if their announced just around the corner next month?

The plan for me is to replace my aging 2008 MBP with an iPP. I've been using a Refirb 16Gb iPad Air for the last few months just to see if moving away from OS X and into iOS is feasible for me. I love the instant on, portability of my iPad and its handling the few apps that's I currently use. I always felt my MBP was a powerhouse that could handle not only what I demand of it now but anything I wanted to throw at it later on and I liked that it has plenty of ports, connectivity and versatility. My iPad worries me a bit. I'm not as confident in its power, connectivity or versatility. I was hoping by now that iOS and the developers would have really made the iPP a fully capable powerhouse, I believe that may well 'eventually' happen, but when?

I'd like to see how capable, thin and light weight the new Skylake laptops turn out to be. As expensive as an iPP can be, the price of a new laptop can't be that much more.
