Waiting for online... can I buy in-store?

Ordered an iPhone online this past Saturday. If I can find one in the store in the meantime, will I be able to purchase it or is my upgrade gone? If my upgrade is gone, how long would it take to reinstate if I cancel the online order?

Your upgrade is gone once you ordered your iPhone online. From my experience, my upgrade was reset back the same day that I cancelled my order. I guess it all depends on where you ordered your phone, through Apple or through your carrier.

If the 4S wait online is only 1 week or so I would wait saves you the trouble of running down the stores and you know you will be guarenteed an iPhone within a week or two.

I was able to reserve one online for store pickup and cancelled my on-line order. AT&T appears to have already reset my upgrade eligibility. Woo!
