Wake Mac from sleep for AirVideo- How

I want to know how to wake my macbook when I am trying to remotely access airvideo from my ipad2?

Do i just put my macbook to never to go to sleep. I hope there are other options available.

Just download caffeine onto you Mac

You need wake on lan. As far as I remember from 2008 it was port 9 but it may have been extended to all since then (I can't remember but do some research). you can use something for free like teamviewer to wake it up and then do whatever you want to do .
