i have a weird problem. i don't know if it's a hardware issue so maybe you can elaborate:
when the screen of my macbook pro with touch bar goes to sleep i need to tap the touchbar multiple times before it wakes up. on other occasions the macbook wakes up immediately.
to test this i've set an active corner to put the monitor to sleep. so i move the curser to the active corner, monitor goes to sleep. then i touch the touch bar and nothing happens. touching it again, nothing happens. again and again and the macos awaits fingerprint or password. the trackpad is also a hit and miss. sometimes touching it (not pressing) works to wake the screen, sometimes not.
apple care suggested to reset smc but that didn't help. do you have any suggestions? thank you for your help.
edit: right now i'm on hold with apple care. i just had an interesting call: the apple care guy requested that i share the screen of my iphone. i did. and then i opened the camera app. in this way i could show him my macbook and demonstrate the unresponsive touch bar. very cool
