wake on lan alternatives...

Hello,

I was wondering what the options are for waking my mac pro remotely...

i understand two:

Wakeonlan: requires another computer on the local network to wake it up...
new airport extreme: requires a new airport!

i have an old airport extreme snow... i was wondering if it were possible with that old thing....
