Wake On LAN doesn't work

I noticed that many applications (like Splashtop) can't wake up my Mac from sleep over LAN.
I discovered why too: when I put my Mac to sleep, it disconnects from both Ethernet and Wi-Fi.

How to fix this? Thanks.
