Wake on Macbook Pro m1 when connect power cable.

Hello.

First of all, thank you very much for this forum and for the help you provide.

A couple of years ago, my 2018 intel-based macbook pro turned on when it detected that the power cable was active, even with the lid closed.

But, a few days ago I bought a macbook pro m1 and this no longer happens. I have an external monitor and it sucks when I have to open the lid, turn it on, and close it again. I live in a very dusty place and I like to keep my computer closed.

Do you know how I could turn on my computer when I plug it in in the morning?

Are you using an external keyboard and trackpad/mouse?

If you are, moving the mouse or pressing a key should wake the Mac.

Yes, I have a bluetooth keyboard and mouse, but it doesn't work if the computer is off. I need to start the computer from total shutdown.

(the mouse & keyboard are not apple original)

I’m not sure why it’s not working. I don’t have an M1 Mac to test, sorry.

I think that your method only works in sleep mode, but it does not work if it is totally off.

Yes, I meant that I’m not sure why it’s not waking up when you connect the power cable.

Maybe It was because i connect the power cable with lid closed and external monitor connected. Is posible that It only work with lid opened. Sorry for my english, im from Spain.

The MacBook should start up when the power cable is plugged in.

However, i think the information that you provide is valid for Intel Macs. The common sense tells me that these methods must be valid, but finally they dont work.
