Hello,

I have had a very stubbern problem with my '09 mac pro waking from sleep... it doesn't very well or at all. Researching again I find this apple discussion:

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4326602?start=90&tstart=0

The post by "Bonfire" explains my problem pretty much exactly. I was running both the stock and the ATA video card. I tried the updated driver he suggested:

NVidia Driver Update:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/macosx-304.00.05f02-driver.html

but now I get some sort of sleep cycle when trying to put my mac pro to sleep. It goes dark, and the fans spin up, and it wakes, repeat.

I took out the nvidia stock card, just running the ata, and it still does the same thing.

What should I do?

F(*&(*&*(&*( APPLE PRO SUPPORT!

any suggestions?

thanks,

r.

Is your current OS version 10.8.2 since the link you provided is for the 10.8.2 driver release? You need to find the matching driver to your OS version if not 10.8.2. Either way, go back to the NVIDIA driver link and click on the tab of "Additional Information" and scroll down to the bottom half of the page and follow the steps to restore back to your original driver.
