Wake screen “return to clock” setting broken?

I have noticed since updating to 7.3.2 that this setting is not working correctly. I have it set to return to clock after 2 minutes, but instead it immediately goes to the clock when my wrist is down (which is the “always” option that I do not have set). Some apps (workout for example) give an option below the setting to toggle on “return to app” and that is working correctly. But apps without this option (that only list default or custom) do not work correctly when set to default which I have set at 2 minutes. Is anyone else having this issue?

I think I have the same issue.

I’ve set it to always but that’s not the case. My Watch will always show current music playing when I put down and bring it up again.

Do you still have the issue?

Edit: I know the culprit to my issue. It’s the auto launch audio apps.

Watch app > display & brightness > auto launch audio apps.
