When my 2.8 iMac 24 with OS 10.5.7 wakes up from sleep which was entered by the default settings, everything is normal.
However, when I put it to sleep via a quick press of the power switch, it often has trouble waking up. In those cases, it usually just has a black screen with the cursor showing.
My workaround is to put it to sleep via power switch again and wake it up the same way again. This usually works.
I am wondering if this is a common problem?
I found an app called DssW Wake Assist which seems designed to deal with this specific problem, but I have not installed it.
Any suggestions?
