This thread is actually a 2 parter.

One to get a gauge of how my battery life is. And 2, something I noticed which seems to drain the most battery.

3G always on
Wifi always off
Auto Brightness off, Brightness at 35%
Location Services off
Notifications off
1 Email account is set to Fetch Manually

About 30 txt msgs, 40 minutes of phone call, 2 hours of 3G web browsing, checking mail manually regularly, sent about 5 or so emails.

The rest of the usage is really just using the calculator or fiddling around in the settings or waking the phone from sleep. No camera, no video chat, no iPod usage, no video watching.

What I've noticed is that the phone seems to drain the most battery when I "unlock" the phone from it's sleep. Using the web browser will drain it at a normal pace.

But it seems like everytime I "unlock" the phone from it's sleep, the battery drains rapidly. Using the phone normally doesn't seem to drain it so rapidly.

Does this seem normal? Although my stats look good on paper, pretty much everything is turned off and the phone wasn't used strenuously at all (absolutely no 3d gaming, no video chat, no push emails and no location services, etc.)
