Waking up ATV with Mac

Hi, on tvos 9 and 9.0.1 I was able after switching off ATV to wake it up with mac/iphone just with icon in menu bar (turning on airplay). But now on 9.1 if turn off atv, the icon disappears. It was just bug before? It was really cool.

I had the same problem.
Is your Apple TV hardwired to your router via ethernet?

Try to connect it via wifi and it will work again.

It seems like it is a bug of TV OS 9.1.

you're right, on wifi it works, but not on ethernet.

We had the same story on aTV 3 as well. Until Apple fixed Bonjour and brought back the mDNSResponder instead of their discoveryd venture.
Current tvOS also keeps reregistering itself (ever increasing numbrr appears at the end of its share name). We had this on aTV too.
