"Walk-in buying" chances in NYC...

Should I try to just walk in and ask whether they have or not? Because I read that some people are lucky to buy from the stores in some states buy I couldn't find any topic related to NY. Did anybody try walk in?

Your best bet is to call all the stores you plan on walkin into.be prepared to hear a bunch of no's but you might luck out..worst case is you ask when you cAn walk into their store to buy one without pre ordering

probably best bet to call before heading to any store, or just reserve it, I was able to reserve a 2nd iphone and pick it up the next day at the upper west side store in Manhattan, a few other stores had some in stock in the city when I was trying to reserve one.
