Hi everyone,
I've been reading through some threads on here but am still confused on how to properly do this. I'm trying to jailbreak and unlock my old iPhone 3G and then sell it. I of course don't want any personal data to be accessible to the buyer.
My first step was to connect the iPhone to iTunes, restore to factory, and set up as a new phone. This seemed to work, but when I click on phone->contacts, under "my number", my actual phone number is still listed. I went into phone settings and changed it out to a random number, i.e. 1-234-567-8901, but I don't know if this was a red flag that somehow some of my information can still be accessed?
If someone can provide a step by step on how to wipe the phone clean of all personal data, and then have it jailbroken/unlocked, and ready to sell, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thank you.
