They are just guessing, Sept it was an easy guess a few months ago, but now that we are in August and still no word they push their guess back to Oct. No one knows anything, only Apple does. Until they give a date, everyone is just guessing trying to be the first to get the month right. If they really knew they would give a month and a day.

Can't say it changes much though. The iPhone 5 will come when Apple chooses to release it. No point for myself to spend time speculating when that is besides to quench our desires to feel like were are in control or in "the know" even though we are not.

No one said it wasn't, but it's obvious why they are pushing back the date like someone above said. Still no word from Apple, so MAYBE october. It's just a guess like any other, hope to at least see a brand new iPhone this year.
