am concerned about the lockscreen access to customize the wallpaper. this gives anyone who picks up your iphone access to your photo library (and of course, the option to change your lockscreen).

does this bother anyone else? seems like there should be some authentication to be able to do that...

There is authentication... The phone needs to be unlocked before being able to customize through the lock screen. Are you not seeing that behavior?
makes sense, and perhaps i missed that? when i click on the image before unlocking, i get to the customize options. so i'm being logged in (thru face id)? guess i expected to see some... motion, or confirmation.

EDIT: duh. i tilted the phone away from me, and did NOT have access. anyway, impressive how quickly i'm 'in'. thanks!

i have 'reduce motion' on, will try it without that enabled.
Yeah, Face ID is pretty quick. Just cover up the camera so it can't authenticate you. The padlock icon should stay at the top of the screen, and you can't get in to customize.

And you can't authenticate upside down. I tried that for fun once I knew landscape could authenticate
